Join us on April 16th at 7pm at the Minnehaha Free Space for the weekly Movie Mondays. The Childcare Collective is sponsoring the film once a month.

Elmo in Grouchland
Lovable red Muppet Elmo loses his beloved blue blanket after a tug-of-war with Zoe. The blanket lands in Grouchland, a scary, faraway place populated by creepy creatures, smelly trash and an evil character named Huxley. Can Elmo use his wits and courage to get his prized blankie back and escape?

Volunteer Training

Contact childcare@riseup.net if you are interested in volunteering to provide childcare during Academia Comunitária/EXCO classes.

The Minneapolis Childcare Collective is currently seeking volunteers.

If you have experience working with kids and are interested in
supporting our mission statement come to one of our upcoming orientations. There are two ways to be involved:

a) You could commit to providing weekly childcare to an EXCO La
Academia class. Most classes are one to two hours and meet in the
evening somewhere in south mpls. There is usually between one and
eight kids. Most of the parents speak Spanish and most of the kids
speak Spanish and English. This is our biggest need right now.

b) You could commit to being a sub for La Acadmia classes or to
providing childcare for one time events. These could range in time
length and number of kids. This would be based on your availability.

We would like all volunteers to be at one of our upcoming orientations.
